Over the whole 8 week course, I worked hard on my assignments, made improvements, fixed mistakes and participated in the discussions. I collaborated in a group me with my peers where we posted our work for feedback before we turned our work in. For the reasons that I will list in this post, I give myself a 93 out of 100.
Assigments
I have recognized that I have strengths and weaknesses in certain areas. Throughout the whole course, I collaborated with my classmates for feedback and I participated in the discussion posts on time and replied to my classmates. This whole class was about developing an action research plan for my Innovation Plan and I feel like I did the best that I could with it. My first assignment was the action research outline where I listed my research question and laid out what I was going to do with my research. I got a great score on that assignment but I know there was still more that I could do to improve it so I worked on it a little bit and published it on this website.
For my second assignment, we were asked to create a literature review detailing what research we could find on our innovation plan and build it off of another lit review that we did back at the beginning of the ADL program. I feel like I did ok on that assignment even though there was so much more that I could improve. I got an ok grade on it but I understand what I got because I did not read the instructions as well as I thought I did and made some mistakes with the lit review along the way. I hope to be able to improve my understanding of the instructions for my future assignments.
My third assignment was to develop my final action research plan and to add a compilation post with all of my work in it. I did all of that and I got a grade that I am happy with although there is always room for improvement so I will continue to update is as best as I can.
Community and Discussions
Throughout the whole course, I collaborated with my classmates about the assignments. Together with Sarah Enger, Angela Speck, Jelisa Davis-Sophus and Whitney Davis, we provided feedback on our assignments and helped each other develop our assignments. I did not request feedback on my literature however which led to the grade that I got. I will continue to improve my collaboration with my classmates and hopefully ask them for feedback even when I don’t think that I need it.
For the discussions, I posted most of them early and I responded to my classmates to the best of my ability. I feel like I could improve a little bit with the responses I did but overall I am happy with how the discussions turned out. I was only able to attend one of the class meetings due to work conflicts but I mostly watched the recordings afterwards. To improve, I feel like I can pay better attention to the meeting recordings and hopefully be able to attend some in the future.
Conclusion
Overall I feel like I did well in this class. I feel like I am excelling in the ADL program although I still have some things to learn and improve. I love creating an innovation plan for this program and I am excited to implement it when I finish the program. I have much to work on but I am ready to take on new challenges and I cannot wait to see what is in store for me next.
