In my Disruptive Innovation course I learned about the different blended learning opportunities out there for me that I could utilize. I came up with an Innovation Proposal and Implementation outline that describes how I want to contribute to my students’ learning environment. I spent hours integrating my whole plan together so I could present it to the counselors.
This course has for sure challenged me in a new way I did not think was possible. It helped me improve my writing skills and helped me move my thought process to bigger ideas and projects that I think of now. I don’t think of them as impossible tasks now, I think of them as projects that I have not achieved yet. Listening to the lectures, reading the articles and getting peer review feedback has changed my thinking about blended learning for the better. Before I started this course, I had no idea what blended learning was but thanks to Dr. H, I do now. This course definitely sets up a foundation of my learning for future classes in the ADL degree. I hope to educate my fellow colleagues and open their eyes to new possibilities that I found in this program.
Students across the country struggle with college applications every year and thanks to the course, I now know that I can make a difference if I keep working hard to create a blended learning environment. I believe this plan that I came up with will work in a way where it changes students’ thinking on college applications.
