It's Not Just About Ideas

In order to officially make this my blog I need to start out with my first blog post. I have just started my Masters Degree in Applied Digital Learning at Lamar University. Today is my first class day and I will admit that I am overwhelmed by all of the information that has been thrown at me but I am also excited to see how I will develop in this Degree.

In order to reassure myself that I can do this I am reaching out to my classmates and asking for advice on how I can start my ePortfolio. As I am writing this I am thinking about how my classmates are also starting out just like me with ADL and I am reassured that I am not in this journey alone. I am excited to learn as much as I can from my professor, Dr. Harapnuik and everyone who helps me in my journey as a student.

I am currently working in Higher Ed and I am very excited to develop my first plan to help my students grow in their learning. I am concerned about many policy’s coming into effect over the next year and I want to educate my students on how to navigate this online world because lets face it; This world relies on too much technology to do basic things. I want my students to learn and grow in their coursework and also learn how to become leaders in their community when no one else stands up to help. It all begins with me and my educational growth and I am excited to get started!
