It's Not Just About Ideas

Looking back at the 5304 class, I have noticed that I am working harder on my assignments to ensure that they meet the standards and the level that they need to be at. I have done everything from participating in discussions to collaborating with my classmates. I definitely need to improve some things in my learning so I am giving myself a 93 out of 100 for EDLD 5304.

I usually complete my assignments the week that they are due and I start them usually the week before. I have been using editing software to make the pictures and designs that are shown on my website. Before I submit the assignments, I look over them once or twice to make sure I have covered everything needed in the assignment. I still feel strong that this is working well for me and I will continue to do the assignments that way. I always read the books and look at the videos so I can better understand my assignments. One of the things throughout this whole ADL program that I have been struggling with is the discussion boards. I am having trouble remembering that I need to fill them out by a certain time and on occasion I have missed the deadline for some of the discussions but I do still submit mine when I can. For the class meetings, I was able to attend the first one but I haven’t been able to attend the other ones due to my work schedule since the fall is recruitment season for admissions. I can definitely do better on the discussions and attending the class meetings when I can.

I collaborated with some other classmates on GroupMe and we helped each other with our assignments and gave advice when some of us got discouraged from something. Working with Khelia Williams, Thaddeus Komorowski, Julia Cochran and Ennija Armour has really helped me throughout my time in this course. We looked over each others assignments and we helped one another by giving positive and negative feedback. I also contributed to the other people in my group by providing helpful information and feedback. For my assignments, I always turned them in on time and I was never late to submitting my work. For the What’s your Why plan, I got some helpful feedback from my group and made some changes accordingly. For my Influencer Strategy and 4DX Plan, I got a great score on the assignment but I did still listen to the feedback that I got from the professor. For the Self Differentiated leadership and Organizational Strategy assignments, I believe that I got the grade that I earned and again I also listened to the feedback given by my professor.

Overall, I think I had a great semester and I am excited to continue on this journey through ADL constantly improving myself and my work while learning great things.
