As I reflect on everything that I have learned in my Disruptive Innovation and ePortfolio course, I recognize that I have made some worthwhile contributions to my fellow classmates and the discussion posts, but I also have so much room to grow and improve in my future courses. For these reasons I am giving myself an 87 out of 100 for EDLD 5305 and a 90 out of 100 in the EDLD 5303 course.

I worked well with my classmates, and I participated in most of the discussions on both the online courses and in the zoom meetings. I was always present in the zoom meetings in both courses, and I did not always talk in every one of them, but I was soaking in all the information that my professor and classmates were stating. I feel like I talked a lot in our breakout discussion rooms in the zoom meeting, but I need to gain more courage to speak out in the general zoom meeting. There is so much I can improve with public speaking and getting the courage to ask questions. I also helped provide resources, information, and feedback to my collaborative group. We met on some Thursday’s, and we also met on occasion after class. We created a group chat where we collaborated with each other on assignments and peer review. Working with Janeal White, Joseline Sanchez, Kimberly Meshall and Paige Shaw, has been so helpful and informative. I was able to share my portfolio and my assignments with them and get lots of feedback on how I can improve. I reached out to all of them to create our group and Janeal was so helpful with creating the meetings so we could meet. I created the group chat, and we added Paige after she requested through Joseline to join. I do recognize that there are things that I can improve on with collaborating and with this group I know I can continue working to improve myself.

I always accepted feedback and revisions on my assignments in both of my courses. In EDLD 5303 I submitted my ePortfolio check in post and I got a grade on the assignment that I did not want to have so I contacted Dr. Harapnuik and asked what I could do to fix my grade. He sent me a video on some of the things I could improve, and I went into my ePortfolio and made some changes and once I did my grade went up. I got helpful feedback on my Innovation Proposal in EDLD 5305, and I used that to improve my post and all the upcoming assignments submitted after that one. There is much that I need to learn with APA formatting and how to cite sources properly. I am a little shaky on that because I have never done a literature review before, and I had to submit one for an assignment, so it took a lot of research and time for me to figure it out. There is so much I need to improve with my writing before I can be perfect, and I fully accept that and welcome all the feedback and necessary criticism that I need to succeed within the ADL program and in my future career.

I completed most of the readings and videos for both courses and attended all the meetings in EDLD 5305, but I missed one of the meetings in 5303. Since I missed that meeting, I did watch the recording and got all the information that I needed to know about my ePortfolio. I need to work on becoming more of a leader and learn that speaking up in a class is not a bad thing. I also need to improve some participation in online discussions and responding to classmates. I will continue learning how to improve my ePortfolio and making it better to read and navigate. It was hard for me to take two classes at a time because I had just jumped into the ADL program for the first time in March and I got a lot of assignments thrown at me. Now looking back on my two courses that I am taking; I am glad that I took both at the same time because they both connected with each other, and I was able to do my assignments better because they were interlocked with each other. I was able to incorporate the learning I did in EDLD 5305 and put it into my ePortfolio which I built in EDLD 5303.

Overall I am proud of the contributions that I have made to my classmates and my learning journey so far. Going forward I hope to improve my discussions and my writing assignments and learning how to speak up in class. As I get more comfortable with the ADL program and how the whole program is project based, I believe I will be able to see the end result in all of my hard work at the end of this program.
